A Subband Adaptive Filter
Recently a new real-valued oversampled filter bank has been proposed which reduces the “inband” alias. The filter bank consists of at least three channels which are subsampled by different subsampling ratios. In this paper we investigate into the applicability of this filter bank for adaptive subband filtering and compare the setup with existing subband and fullband techniques.
متن کاملImage Restoration with Two-Dimensional Adaptive Filter Algorithms
Two-dimensional (TD) adaptive filtering is a technique that can be applied to many image, and signal processing applications. This paper extends the one-dimensional adaptive filter algorithms to TD structures and the novel TD adaptive filters are established. Based on this extension, the TD variable step-size normalized least mean squares (TD-VSS-NLMS), the TD-VSS affine projection algorithms (...
متن کاملFiltered gradient algorithms applied to a subband adaptive filter structure
Adaptive filtering techniques in subbands have been recently developed for a number of applications including acoustic echo cancellation and wideband active noise control. In such applications, hundreds of taps are required resulting in high computational complexity and low convergence rate when using LMS based algorithms. For fullband systems, new algorithms which try to overcome these drawbac...
متن کاملSign subband adaptive filter with l1-norm minimisation-based variable step-size
ELECT A new variable step-size sign subband adaptive filter (VSS-SSAF), not requiring any a priori information, is proposed by minimising the l1-norm of the subband a posteriori error under a box-constraint on the step-size. In addition, an efficient numerical procedure for updating its VSS is introduced to solve the non-differentiable convex problem. The proposed algorithm provides comparable ...
متن کاملA Family of Variable Step-Size Normalized Subband Adaptive Filter Algorithms Using Statistics of System Impulse Response
This paper presents a new variable step-size normalized subband adaptive filter (VSS-NSAF) algorithm. The proposed algorithm uses the prior knowledge of the system impulse response statistics and the optimal step-size vector is obtained by minimizing the mean-square deviation(MSD). In comparison with NSAF, the VSS-NSAF algorithm has faster convergence speed and lower MSD. To reduce the computa...
